I had an older packet of seeds and this year I decided to plant them before they were no longer viable. They grew well, produced a good crop but the beans had no flavor. After a short while, we just let them go unpicked. Disappointing. I'll stick with my Blue Lake green pole beans for now on.

I really love the Monte Gusto pole beans!! Started them later than normal for me, but they are producing beautiful long, thin beans with excellent flavor! I love pole beans for picking. My garden looks so beautiful with them standing over 6 feet tall!
