Kale, Black Magic

(45-60 Day) Dinosaur Kale or Black Cabbage. Popular in Italy where it is used in soups and stews, it's also delicious for salads when picked young. Deep green, heavily crumpled leaves 2 to 3 inches wide and 10 inches long form an easy-to-harvest rosette. Flavor is rich and mild, becoming even sweeter after a freeze. This variety is more cold tolerant, vigorous, and slower-to-bolt than other Italian or Tuscan kales.
