The oblong, dark-mottled fruits average 17-21 pounds and have deep-red flesh that is exceptionally sweet and crisp. Tailgate demonstrates a low occurrence of hollow heart, high resistance against anthracnose, and intermediate resistance against fusarium. Cannot ship to: SC.

Cross-pollination is required for seedless watermelons. Each packet includes 5 additional seeds of a pollinenizer variety. Plant these seeds in an alternating pattern 2 to 1 with the seedless variety.
