2026 was my first attempt at growing pole beans. I’m so glad I chose the Fortex green French Pole bean! Due to unforeseen circumstances, I got them in later, at the end of June, but they came up really well in that hot, dry weather with regular watering, and then grew beautifully over the top of my 6 foot conduit/garden vegetable mesh trellis. They are extremely productive! I absolutely love the super long, (11” are common) thinner type pods that really don’t get big beans inside, even if I fail to pick on time! But, I try to pick them every 2-3 days to enjoy the size I like. I will definitely buy these again next year!!
