Ripening midseason, these russet-bronze fruits have smooth-textured flesh with a rich flavor that hints at spice, vanilla and honey. Exceptional for baking and drying, but also fresh eating, the fruits develop their best flavor when stored at least 2 months before use. Stores for up to 6 months. Heirloom. Zones: 4-8. BR

Cross-pollination with another pear is recommended. We suggest Anjou, Bartlett or Seckel.
