Plum, Waneta
Considered one of the best plums for the Midwest. Naturally dwarf trees adapt well to adverse conditions and produce fruits after the first year planted. Often bears so many fruits, that they should be thinned to maintain good size and flavor. The red-skinned fruits have yellow flesh that is juicy and sweet. Ripens in late July to early August.
Plums require cross-pollination to produce fruit. We recommend planting this variety with Black Ice or Toka.
