100 days. Big, beefy, blocky, bounteous - best flavored butternut. We were looking for a big butternut that tasted great, was productive and had Powdery Mildew resistance. This one passed the test with flying colors. In northern areas the fruits will be largest, up to 7 to 8 pounds (about 5 pounds in other areas) and 16 to 18 inches long. The most noticeable feature is the straightness of the fruit. The bulb end is small, resulting in a smaller seed cavity and longer neck holding much more useable flesh. The orange flesh is sweet (nearly 7% Brix rating), fine-grained and smooth. We think after you've tried this squash, Dick's Pick will be your pick, too.
