Named "Seed of the Year" in 2005 at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto, this predominantly male hybrid developed by the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, produces tender, high quality spears with excellent flavor. It has quickly become a garden and cuisine favorite. Grows well in all soil types, even heavier clay soils. It has good rust-resistance and produces outstanding yields.
