Unmatched for burgundy fall color. Green in early summer, the leaves take on dark red hues by July turning wine-colored by September. Reddish-purple flowerheads appear in midsummer, maturing to seedheads of silver in fall. Grows 36 to 54 inches tall and about 36 inches wide. Plant in rich, well-drained soil.
