Bears fluffy plumes beginning in late summer, even in partial shade. This Asian native is well-adapted to partially shaded, woodland areas. Forms an upright clump of green foliage up to 36 inches wide, bearing its 12 inch airy plumes just above the arching blades. In sunny locations the habit will be tighter and the pink-tinged plumes more profuse. Hardy and quite adaptable. Ht: 36".
