Highly ornamental, thornless vines produce attractive flowers and delicious fruits. Developed in Sweden, these weed smothering, hardy plants spread by underground rhizomes creating a thick mat of bright green foliage. In spring, plants bear 1 inch pink flowers followed by small, sweet, aromatic berries that ripen in midsummer. In fall, the foliage turns attractive shades of red and burgundy. Ground cover raspberries will begin bearing the year after planting. Each plant bears up to 1 pound of fruit.
