Raspberry, Summer-Bearing, Raspberry Shortcake®

Our hardy raspberry plants are shipped as well-rooted, potted plants. Be sure to plant both summer bearing and fall bearing types to extend the raspberry season nearly all summer. Plant in soil that is sandy or drains well and is rich in organic matter. Locate in an area that receives sunlight for 6 hours or more. Raspberry Shortcake - Thornless, compact and great for containers. Attractive, dense plants grow only 2 to 3 feet tall, much shorter than traditional raspberries. Beginning in mid-summer, you'll start to harvest red, deliciously sweet berries on both new and old canes. Expect a few berries the first year with larger crops the following years. Like all raspberries, plants will spready moderately if planted in the ground. Self-pollinating. Plant in full sun.
