The Crocus that blooms in the autumn. One of the earliest autumn-flowering crocuses to bloom. Goblet-shaped 1-1/4" to 2-1/2" violet blue flowers display darker veins. Spreads by seed and division to form drifts of color. Corms are planted in August and September, after which the flowers shoot up without any leaves, remaining in bloom from September to November. The leaves are produced in spring and die back like daffodils. Plant as soon as the bulbs arrive. Sold in packages of 24.
